Working at heights refers to any task performed in a location where, without necessary safety measures, there is a risk of falling and getting injured. According to the regulation “Occupational Health and Safety Requirements in Construction,” work involving the risk of falling from heights is classified as hazardous work. While working or moving in areas with a fall risk, appropriate safety measures must be implemented, such as safety barriers, safety nets, or fall protection equipment.

Kukkumiskaitse.ee specializes in ensuring workplace safety at heights and in confined spaces. We supply and install safety nets and permanent safety systems to prevent falls and enable rope access. We also offer consultations, training, and exercises tailored to your company’s needs, whether for working at heights (on ladders, lifts, scaffolding, roofs, etc.) or in confined spaces. If needed, we can handle the task for you.

Safety systems for heights

Safety systems designed for fall arrest and rope access are available as standard solutions (catalog available here) or customized systems tailored to the specific needs and requirements of the client.

To ensure complete safety, the system must be adapted to the working environment and the unique risks present. We assist in identifying areas with fall risks and developing a safety system that meets your needs.

Safety net sales and installation

Safety nets compliant with standard EN 1263/1:2002 are designed to reduce injuries caused by falls for individuals working at heights. Check out the safety nets catalog here.

Safety nets can be installed for both horizontal and vertical protection to prevent people and materials from falling from open edges, such as floor edges, roofs, staircases, and excavation edges, or to enclose vertical gaps like window openings or stairwells. Safety nets can also be installed for use as work platforms.

Inspection and fall protection equipment check

Fall protection, support, and evacuation equipment must undergo periodic inspection every 12 months (in accordance with EN 365:2004). More frequent inspections are required if the equipment is subject to heavy wear or is used in demanding conditions.

Inspections must be conducted by a competent person holding a manufacturer-issued certificate.

Specialized Work at Heights

Consultation, repair work, cleaning, equipment installation and dismantling, ice and snow removal from roofs, fall protection for workers performing high-altitude tasks, and construction work at heights or in hard-to-reach areas.

We perform tasks using rope access techniques, eliminating the need for scaffolding, lifts, or platforms in most cases. This approach enables the creation of flexible and customized systems for accessing the worksite.
